The home buying process can be a rollercoaster! It has ups and downs, but my job is to help you navigate the process to cut that stress down and have it be an enjoyable process. Here are a couple things to consider when your first considering a home purchase.

  • Price

    It all begins with this. When considering real estate in the Vail Valley, it is crucial to consider not only home price, but HOA dues, transfer taxes or fees and maintenance costs. If you’re looking for an investment or rental property, it’s important to have an accurate rental projection done on the property to gauge whether or not it is a worthwhile investment.

  • Location

    Is it more important to be right in the middle of all the action or within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants? Or do you prefer a little more space to spread out? Is it important to be in a more family-oriented neighborhood near good schools? All of these questions are important to consider when beginning a home search.

  • Future Needs

    Are you planning to grow your family? Start a business or care for aging family members? Considering your 2-5 year future plans can be a good idea when starting your home search. Look for a home that you can grow into or could suit your needs in the near future is something to keep in mind.

  • Hobbies & Interests

    If you and your family hit the ski slopes every weekend or break out the bikes for rides every evening, you should consider neighborhoods that will play into your hobbies and interests. Being close to ski slopes, mountain biking trails or bike paths should play into your home search.
